WWE Summerslam

SummerSlam (2015) was a WWE-produced professional wrestling pay-per-view event that occurred on August 23, 2015, at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York City. This marked the twenty-eighth installment in the SummerSlam series and was the first to be held outside Los Angeles since 2008, as the Staples Center had hosted the event exclusively from 2009 to 2014. It was the eighth time SummerSlam took place in the New York metropolitan area, following the events in 1988, 1989, 1991, 1997, 1998, 2002, and 2007. Initially planned for the Izod Center, the venue was changed to the Barclays Center due to the former’s closure in April 2015. Notably, this was the first SummerSlam event to extend to four hours, a duration previously reserved only for WrestleMania.
