Yep, it's me again — that Fmovies you've heard so much about. And today, I wanna tell you my story. Not the one you read in the news, but the real deal, straight from the source.

How it all started

Remember when we were kids, sharing comics, books, music with each other? That was awesome, 'cause everyone had access to information. But then the internet came along, and everything went pay-to-play. Netflix, HBO, Disney+... Subscriptions cost money, and a lot of folks just don't have it.

That's when I started thinking: why the heck is this happening? Why should knowledge, culture, entertainment be only for the rich? Why can't a regular dude from the boonies watch the latest flick if he can't afford a subscription?

That's how Fmovies was born — to make info available for everyone, no matter their financial situation.

Our mission

We weren't aiming to make a killing. Our goal was to build a platform where anyone could find the content they were interested in — movies, TV shows, cartoons, documentaries. And guess what? We nailed it!

Sure, there were bumps in the road. Copyright holders were constantly trying to shut us down, blocking domains, suing us. But we held our ground. And that's all thanks to you, our users.

Numbers and facts

Alright, let's get down to the nitty-gritty. At our peak in 2023, Fmovies was among the top 11 sites worldwide in the "TV, movies, and streaming" category. Can you believe it? We were #280 in the overall ranking of all websites globally!

By June 2024, our network included dozens of domains like bflixz, movies7, myflixer, aniwave, and more. We were getting around 374 million visits every month. And over a year and a half, from January 2023 to June 2024, our total traffic exceeded 6.7 billion visits!

That just goes to show we were doing something important and necessary for people.

Why people choose Fmovies

We did a little digging and found out the main reasons people can't swing subscriptions to streaming services are:

• Pricey. Subscription costs keep climbing, and it's just too much for many to handle.
• Limited selection. Different countries have different content available, and often, the movie or show you want is simply not accessible in your region.
• Confusing subscription systems. Different services, different terms, different prices. Try making sense of that!
• No try-before-you-buy. Most services don't offer free trials, so you're buying a pig in a poke.

That's why Fmovies became a real lifeline for so many.

How we roll

We don't store files on our servers. We use embedded videos from other platforms, like Vidsrc.to. This helps us stay under the radar and not infringe copyright directly.

Of course, this has its challenges. Videos can get taken down, blocked, and we're constantly searching for new sources. But we manage.

The heat is on

We were getting hassled from the get-go. In 2017, we landed on the US Trade Representative's (USTR) annual "notorious markets" list as a major piracy hub.

That same year, the Filipino company ABS-CBN won a lawsuit against us, and we were ordered to cough up $210,000 for copyright infringement. But we kept operating through mirror sites.

We got blocked in Australia, Sweden, India, and other countries. But we always found ways around the blocks.

The takedown

In August 2024, they finally got us. It was a joint operation by the Vietnamese police and the Alliance for Creativity and Entertainment (ACE), which includes giants like Netflix, Disney, Warner Bros.

They busted two of our operators. And shut down related platforms, including Vidsrc.to. That was a heavy blow.

Our future

But we're not throwing in the towel. You know why? Because we believe in our mission. We believe in a free internet. We believe everyone has the right to access information.

And as long as there are people who support us, we'll keep at it. We'll find new ways to get information to everyone who needs it.
