Women of ’69, Unboxed
This film offers an intimate and personalized look at women from the 1960s, focusing on a vibrant class that graduated in 1969—the same year as Hillary Clinton—and has recently turned 65, beginning to navigate the concept of the New Old Age. Unlike their parents, who often expected less of themselves at this stage, many of these accomplished individuals are seeking more, experiencing what they call a Third Wind. Where will this newfound energy lead them? Some are determined to continue making an impact. The catalyst for these reflections and memories is their class yearbook. Each photograph, created in collaboration with a provocative Turkish artist, captures the spirit of the 60s—full of risk, rebellion, and creativity. Interestingly, this yearbook wasn’t a traditional book; the portraits were delivered to each alumna as loose-leaf pages in a box. Thus, the metaphorical title: Unboxed! Written by Anonymous.
