Wild About Harry
Set in 1973 and drawing from real-life events, ‘Wild About Harry’ explores the turmoil in a teenage girl’s life upon learning that her widowed father is gay. The film, which balances humor and tragedy, is driven by a remarkable ensemble cast and portrays both the era’s liberating spirit and its prevalent homophobia, all within the setting of a small town in Cape Cod, America. British widower Harry Goodhart seeks a new beginning by relocating with his teenage daughters to Cape Cod in 1973. However, he cannot escape the secret that threatens to fracture his family. The girls struggle to adapt to their new environment when they realize that their father’s bond with his partner extends beyond a mere professional relationship.
