Trapped

Between 2011 and 2013, numerous laws were enacted in the United States that limited access to abortion. Advocates for reproductive rights call these “TRAP” laws, which stands for Targeted Regulations of Abortion Providers. These laws have spread widely across the nation, particularly in the Southern states, where many clinics are struggling to stay open. On the front lines of this battle for women’s rights are the doctors, clinic owners, and dedicated staff who refuse to surrender. “Trapped” weaves together the personal narratives of a courageous doctor who travels nationwide to ensure medical services are accessible, the steadfast individuals who operate the clinics, the attorneys fighting to abolish these laws, and ultimately, the women they are all committed to supporting.
