In a quaint village in North Vietnam, a story of self-discovery unfolds, centering on a burgeoning love triangle. Nham, a diligent and dependable 17-year-old farm boy, finds himself entangled with Ngu, his endearing yet lonely sister-in-law, who works alongside him in the fields. Their lives are further complicated by the arrival of Quyen, a lively and sophisticated expatriate returning from the city, eager to reconnect with her childhood roots in the village. Despite their mutual reluctance to express their emotions, the romance reveals itself to be deeply symbolic. For Quyen, Nham embodies an innocence and a past she can never reclaim, while for Nham, Quyen represents the sophistication and future opportunities that seem out of his reach. Meanwhile, Ngu is left in a vulnerable and heart-wrenching position, caught between the two.
