The Toxic Avenger: The Musical

Based on Lloyd Kaufman’s iconic 1984 comedy film, “The Toxic Avenger,” the musical adaptation unfolds the tale of Tromaville’s residents who are in desperate need of a savior. Enter Melvin Ferd the Third, a geeky aspiring environmental scientist, who is on a mission to tackle the state’s significant toxic waste issue. However, his noble intentions catch the attention of a corrupt Mayor and her cronies, who are determined to thwart his efforts. Melvin is assaulted and thrown into a vat of toxic waste, which transforms him into The Toxic Avenger, New Jersey’s inaugural superhero! Now known as Toxie, he is a 7-foot mutant with extraordinary strength and an equally large heart. His goals include rescuing the heavily polluted New Jersey, combating global warming, winning the affection of the town’s most beautiful (and blind) librarian, and making it home in time for dinner!
