The Secret

Kaifeng awakens with a severe hangover, his heart heavy with sorrow for his deceased wife, Qiujie, as the memories of the tragic accident flood back. Their plan was to enjoy a romantic climbing trip, celebrating their anniversary by conquering a Himalayan peak, a passion they both shared. However, an avalanche left him burdened with endless remorse. Qiujie, his beloved partner and the mother of his child, is lost to him forever. In his grief, Kaifeng seeks guidance from a spirit medium on how to bring her back. To his astonishment and delight, Qiujie does return, but she has little recollection of her past, including their son, and no memory of the tragic event. The medium warns, “Only those who truly love Qiujie can see her spirit. You must never reveal to her that she is a spirit, or she will vanish forever.” Kaifeng understands that her presence is temporary, and he must strive to maintain the secret with his son for as long as possible.
