Alison Peters, a woman who has always followed the rules, finds her life in chaos as she struggles with a legal career that has left her working at a grocery store. In need of money, she decides to rent out her basement on MiCasaSuCasa.com and receives a reply from James Brewer, who reveals he’s recently separated from his wife. Meanwhile, Alison and her friend Sarah face harassment from their boss, Brandon, at work. When Brandon is found dead, the police start to suspect Alison. As a romantic connection develops between Alison and James, more individuals around her start to vanish.
