The Edelweiss Pirates
In the final days of World War II, Cologne lies in devastation, gripped by fear and loss. Amidst this backdrop of widespread cruelty, a group of young rebels known as the Edelweiss Pirates defy the oppressive Nazi regime. They clash with the Hitler Youth and cover walls with anti-war messages. Among them is Karl, whose younger brother, Peter, is part of the Hitler Youth. The siblings have been on their own since their mother perished in a bombing, with their father away at the front and their older brother, Otto, having died in combat. Otto’s fiancée, Cilly, struggles to endure the war with her children, and Karl is determined to assist her.
