The Donner Party

Based on the true story of The Donner Party disaster, this film depicts a group of American pioneers heading to California during the westward movement of the 1840s. Trapped by heavy snowfall in the Sierra Nevada during the harsh winter of 1846-1847, some of the stranded settlers banded together in a desperate attempt to reach California and arrange for a rescue mission.
