Born in Brooklyn in 1932, Jack’s journey took him busking through the South and West in the early 1950s, spending a year with Woody Guthrie, six years honing his craft in Europe, and making a celebrated return to Greenwich Village in the early 60s. He mentored Bob Dylan and lived a life on the road, moving from one performance to the next, sharing songs and stories.
