The Assassin Next Door

In a rundown apartment building on the less desirable side of town, two women who are strangers to one another reside across the hall on the second floor. Galia, an unwilling participant in the local sex-trafficking ring, works as an assassin. Her sole desire is to reunite with her young daughter, whom she left behind in Russia. Eleanor, on the other hand, is a grocery store cashier trapped in an abusive marriage, dreaming of winning the lottery to escape her violent husband. Although Galia and Eleanor have never met, they share two things as neighbors: a common wall and a desperate need to escape their circumstances. When Galia defies her latest assignment involving a female target, and Eleanor learns of her pregnancy, the two women decide to confront their oppressors, embarking on a quest for survival and liberation.
