In his debut film, director Marcelo Briem Stamm presents a provocative and unsettling story of romance and deceit. The film follows the attractive, middle-class Manuel (played by Patrico Ramos), who, disillusioned by a past relationship and weary of solitude, encounters Julio (Mario Veron), a rugged, solitary, and jobless young man, in an online chat room. Their eventual face-to-face meeting quickly ignites a strong sexual chemistry. Despite the frequent and fulfilling physical connection, both men struggle with issues of intimacy, trust, and the fear of emotional pain, making them reluctant to fully commit. As their relationship progresses, they begin to share secrets from their pasts, but it’s unclear whether these confessions are genuine, imagined, or outright fabrications. The film explores themes of truth, identity, and love, culminating in a romantic, passionate drama/thriller with a surprising and oddly satisfying ending.
