Zeke and Luther

“Zeke and Luther” is an animated sitcom from Disney XD that follows the adventures of two best friends who aspire to become the top skateboarders in the world. The series features actors Hutch Dano, Adam Hicks, Daniel Curtis Lee, and Ryan Newman. It takes place in the fictional Pacific Terrace area of northern Gilroy, California, a location frequently mentioned throughout the show. Gilroy also appeared in the Disney Channel series “Even Stevens,” another creation by Matt Dearborn, who co-created “Zeke and Luther.” The episode “Bros Go Pro” was released for free on iTunes in early June, two weeks before the series debuted on television. The show first aired in the U.S. on June 15, 2009. On August 2, 2010, it was revealed that the series would return for a third season, which began on February 28, 2011. In a June 18, 2011 interview with Deadline.com, Matt Dearborn announced that the third season would be the final one. “Zeke and Luther” holds the distinction of being Disney XD’s longest-running original series and the first to reach a third season. The series concluded with a one-hour finale on April 2, 2012.
