American Justice
“American Justice” is a U.S. criminal justice TV series that aired on the A&E Network, with Bill Kurtis as the host. The program delves into intriguing or significant cases, such as the murder of Selena, the Scarsdale Diet doctor killing, the Hillside Stranglers, Matthew Shepard’s case, and the Wells Fargo heist. These stories are narrated by key figures including police officers, lawyers, victims, and even the criminals themselves. With over 250 episodes produced, it holds the record as the longest-running documentary justice series on cable.
The last new episode was made in 2005, but reruns are broadcast on A&E’s sister network, The Biography Channel, under the title “Notorious.” These reruns feature updated credit sequences and commercial bumpers but remain otherwise unchanged. Additionally, past episodes are available on DVD.
