Akagi
Akagi is a Japanese manga focused on the game of mahjong, created by Nobuyuki Fukumoto and initially released in 1992. It is serialized in the weekly publication Modern Mahjong and serves as a prequel to Fukumoto’s earlier work, Ten, where the main character, Akagi, also makes an appearance. The manga’s popularity led to its adaptation into two live-action films and a 26-episode anime series that premiered in Japan in the autumn of 2005.
