River Red

A young man is forced to kill his drunken, abusive father to protect his younger brother. Knowing that his younger brother would face a lighter punishment, he confesses to the crime and ends up in jail. Meanwhile, the older brother discovers that his family is drowning in debt, and his earnings from washing dishes and selling wood are insufficient. Desperate, he embarks on a spree of convenience store robberies in nearby towns. Upon returning home, he claims to have received a modest inheritance. However, he is consumed by guilt, which strains his budding romantic relationship. The film centers on his internal struggle to find the right path.
