Riot

In 1978, as efforts to decriminalize homosexuality hit a standstill, a determined group of activists resolve to make one last effort to embrace their identity. Under the leadership of ex-union leader Lance Gowland, they secure a police permit and rally support. On a bitterly cold winter evening, they don costumes, link arms, and march down Oxford Street. Unbeknownst to them, hostile police are ready to confront them, but the bravery they display that night will ultimately galvanize the nation.
