Redemption

In 1865, as the American Civil War concludes, the remnants of a once-wealthy Southern family set out for California. The emotional wounds and guilt they bear from the war are more profound and agonizing than the loss of their wealth and home. Although the war has ended, their struggle for survival is just beginning.
