Proxy

On her way back from a recent prenatal check-up, the heavily pregnant Esther Woodhouse is viciously assaulted and left scarred by a masked attacker. Surprisingly, this traumatic incident turns out to be a hidden blessing as Esther discovers solace in a support group. Her previously lonely and sorrowful existence is transformed by newfound companionship, empathy, and a sense of belonging. Yet, these bonds of friendship and empathy can become perilous when extended to the wrong individuals.
