In the late 1990s, Chester and Sonny are a devoted couple in a long-term romantic relationship. When Sonny expresses a desire to change the dynamics of their relationship, Chester, who is a deeply introverted cartoonist, begins to engage with sex workers and, through this experience, uncovers a different form of intimacy.
