On Sacred Ground

Inspired by real-life events from 2016, this film delves into the controversial development of the Dakota Access Pipeline, which traverses the Standing Rock Indian Reservation in North Dakota, territory belonging to the Lakota “Sioux” Tribe. The narrative centers on Daniel, a journalist and former military veteran from the Afghanistan War, and Elliot, an executive from the oil industry, as they find themselves in opposition during the heated conflict surrounding the pipeline’s construction.
