In the Gulf of Mexico, a deadly combination of an oil spill, an explosion, and toxic waste leads to a horrifying mutation that wreaks havoc on a coastal town. Police Sergeant Devon Hughes spearheads the inquiry into the actions of a ruthless CEO, Michael Milhoan. However, it is an eccentric detective, Brian Edward Kahrs, and a determined environmental scientist, Wendi Hughes, who face the zombie menace head-on.
