In 1982 Poland, amidst the backdrop of martial law and the banning of Solidarity, a translator grapples with the loss of her husband, becoming ensnared in her own grief. In her search for solace, she turns to intimacy, her child, legal avenues, and even hypnotism, as she struggles to find meaning in her life.
