Neerja

In this film, two young Korean girls, Jung-Min, aged 14, and Young-hee, aged 15, are abducted by the Japanese Imperial Army and transported to a “Comfort Station” in China. There, they are forced to join other abducted girls in serving as sexual slaves for Japanese soldiers, a group infamously known as “Comfort Women.” Many years later, an elderly woman seeks to reconnect with the spirit of her long-lost friend. The story draws inspiration from the testimony of Kang Il-chul.
