My Entire Life
In 1960s Australia, Wally Mellish, a former convict, simply desires a peaceful existence with his girlfriend Beryl. However, their tranquility is shattered when two police officers arrive, leading to a misunderstanding that escalates rapidly. This results in Wally, Beryl, and her child being confined in their home, encircled by armed police who mistakenly believe Wally is holding them hostage. The situation quickly devolves into a media frenzy, and throughout the ordeal, Wally unintentionally becomes a figurehead for the anti-war movement.
