Mortal Kombat: Rebirth

MORTAL KOMBAT: REBIRTH is a short film directed by Kevin Tancharoen, released in 2010. It was created as a demonstration piece to present Tancharoen’s vision for a reboot of the movie franchise to Warner Brothers. This 8-minute film showcases a complex fight sequence choreographed by Larnell Stovall and reintroduces iconic Mortal Kombat characters such as Jax (played by Michael Jai White), Sonya Blade (portrayed by Jeri Ryan), Johnny Cage (played by Matt Mullins), Scorpion (portrayed by Ian Anthony Dale), Baraka (played by Lateef Crowder), and Shang Tsung (portrayed by James Lew).
