Julie

Julie, a budding tennis prodigy, finds herself enamored with her coach. Her feelings stem from a deep desire for love and a need to break free from the aspirations her father has imposed on her. Birgitte Hjort Sørensen portrays the conflicted and delicate Julie, while Rolf Hansen plays the coach who attempts to shield her from life’s challenges. The cast also includes Jesper Christensen as her ambitious and debt-ridden father, Trine Appel as the coach’s scornful fiancée, and Niels Skousen as a nightclub proprietor. “Julie” is a contemporary reinterpretation of August Strindberg’s “Miss Julie.”
