Jim: The James Foley Story
In August 2014, a video depicting the public execution of American photojournalist James Foley spread worldwide. Foley, clad in an orange jumpsuit, knelt next to an ISIS militant dressed in black. This image forced the global community to confront a new form of terror and posed a significant challenge to one American family. Through the perspective of filmmaker Brian Oakes, Foley’s childhood friend, the film “Jim” transports us from a small town in New England to the high-stakes front lines of Libya and Syria, where Foley risked his life to document the struggles of civilians caught in the crossfire of war.
