Tom works as a tennis instructor at an upscale island resort, where he spends his free time indulging in drinks and brief romantic encounters. His usual pattern is disrupted when the Maguire family arrives, leading him to form a connection with Anne, her spouse Dave, and their child Anton. Tom is haunted by a sense of familiarity with Anne, as if they’ve crossed paths before. This underlying tension escalates until one evening when Dave disappears, and both Anne and Tom find themselves under suspicion in the ensuing investigation.
