In the Hand of Dante

In the shadowy depths of New York City’s criminal underworld, a black-market smuggling ring comes into possession of the original manuscript of The Divine Comedy. They enlist the help of Nick, a jaded scholar, to verify its authenticity. Succumbing to temptation, Nick betrays the mob by absconding with the manuscript. His journey, marked by darkness and violence, leads him from a figurative Hell to a Paradise alongside his beloved Giulietta. Meanwhile, a parallel narrative unfolds: Dante’s own journey. Trapped in an unfulfilling marriage with Gemma and guided only by a stern mentor, Dante flees to Sicily, where he crafts his legendary work.
