Diane Blaine possesses the looks of a film star, but her misfortune is that her face is already associated with the infamous fallen celebrity and tabloid sensation, Jamie Stephens. Diane’s constant rejection in Hollywood, which she attributes to being “Too Jamie Stephens” (TJS), has left her feeling resentful, frustrated, and admittedly, a bit whiny. Her boyfriend and colleague, Jack Sanders, isn’t much help either. His idea of ambition is to take things as they come, which has landed him in significant debt to a mobster with a penchant for Jamie Stephens. Jack’s only escape plan is to persuade Diane to impersonate Jamie and settle the debt by having a single meal with a mob boss. This becomes the most crucial performance of Diane’s life, with Jack’s fate hanging in the balance.
