As Jesse’s 15th birthday approaches, her only wish is to receive a horse. However, she is unaware that her mother, Brandy, is battling cancer, which has thrown her father into a whirlwind of unforeseen challenges. Initially, he enrolls Jesse in a summer camp, but when those plans fall apart, he opts to send her to live with her estranged grandfather, Gauff, a seasoned and gruff horse trainer. Gauff, still mourning the loss of a cherished horse named Grace, now has to navigate the complexities of dealing with a teenager. He realizes he must put aside his pride and seek forgiveness from his daughter, Brandy.
