In the murky realm of drone warfare, battles resemble video games, yet the consequences are all too real. After completing six deployments, Air Force pilot Tom Egan now engages the Taliban from a climate-controlled bunker in the Nevada desert. However, as he longs to return to flying actual aircraft and grows more disturbed by the unintended casualties resulting from his actions, Egan’s mental state—and his marriage—start to deteriorate.
