Good Bye Lenin!

Set in East Germany during the fall of the Berlin Wall, this film follows a young man, Alex, who goes to great lengths to protect his mother from the shock of their country’s political upheaval after she awakens from a coma. Starring Daniel Brühl, the movie skillfully blends comedy and drama as Alex creates an elaborate ruse to maintain the illusion of the old East Germany for his mother.
