During an era when coal was the primary energy source, a visionary man foresaw the potential of oil. Tetsuzo Kunioka, a young man from Moji, Kitakyushu, ventured into the oil industry, confronting numerous obstacles and rivals, including local suppliers and the dominant Western oil corporations, known as the “oil majors.” Despite the daunting circumstances, Tetsuzo remained undeterred.
