In 2003, Talan Skeels-Piggins became paralyzed after a car collided with him, causing his motorcycle to crash head-on into traffic. Doctors gave him only a 30 percent chance of survival and said he would never walk again if he did survive. Despite these odds, Talan, along with three other disabled riders, continues to secure themselves to motorcycles and compete against able-bodied racers in one of the world’s most perilous sports.
