Dongji Rescue

During World War II, a Japanese cargo ship transporting British prisoners of war was sunk in the waters off Zhoushan, China, leaving many captives trapped by the Japanese forces. In this dire scenario, fishermen from Dongji Island rise to the occasion. Motivated by their inherent compassion, bravery, and indomitable will, they navigate the treacherous seas to create a lifeline for the marooned prisoners.
