Dahomey
In the 19th century, French colonists seized numerous royal artifacts from Dahomey, a kingdom in West Africa, to exhibit them in Paris. Many years later, some of these items were finally returned to their original home in present-day Benin. This dramatized documentary narrates the story of 26 of these treasures through the perspectives of cultural art historians, university students facing challenges, and one of the statues that was repatriated.
