Wong Kam-Kwei, a once-powerful gang leader now facing a downturn, manages bathhouses and karaoke venues. He becomes enamored with Mei, who owns a modest eatery. As he starts supporting her business, he discovers that Mei is romantically involved with Leung, a gang member who is as close as a brother to Kam-Kwei. When a competing gang, aiming to take over his turf, murders Leung, Kam-Kwei is left with no choice but to safeguard Mei and seek vengeance for Leung’s death.
