Childish Games

When the unreliable author Mario unexpectedly appears at the school where Daniel works, Daniel becomes convinced that Mario is a figure from his deeply buried past. As children, they were almost like brothers, but the anticipated marriage between Daniel’s father and Mario’s mother never happened. This unforeseen reunion brings their families together. After Mario tragically takes his own life, Daniel and his wife, Laura, take in his daughter. Laura, who has no children of her own, immediately forms a bond with the girl, but Daniel grows increasingly uneasy around her. He is haunted by the guilt of his past, which continues to plague him. Daniel endures intense emotional turmoil until a climactic confrontation occurs in the mountains.
