ChickLit

ChickLit is a comedic drama centered around four men who are determined to prevent their neighborhood pub from shutting down. To raise funds, they collaboratively write a chick lit novel, specifically a “mummy porn” book akin to ‘Fifty Shades of Grey,’ which quickly attracts a publisher’s interest. However, there’s a catch: the publisher demands that the supposed female author participate in media promotions. To maintain their anonymity, the men hire an unemployed actress to impersonate the author. As events unfold, she becomes the lead in the film adaptation of the book, reversing the power dynamic and taking control. This leaves the men facing the daunting reality of having to continue secretly writing erotic novels indefinitely.
