In Port City, North Carolina, a homeless man stumbles upon evidence of an impending invasion during a routine camping trip. When he attempts to alert the local Sheriff, his warnings are dismissed, and he is jailed for loitering. However, the Sheriff starts to notice strange behavior among the townspeople and begins to investigate the man’s claims of a sleeper cell hidden within the community. As proof of a beheading surfaces, fear spreads about an insurgent attack on this quintessential American town. Questions and tensions rise: why target this idyllic beach community with its Norman Rockwell charm, where everyone supposedly knows each other? As truth becomes obscured and justice seems elusive, it falls to an unlikely group of five heroes to unite, penetrate the insurgents’ ranks, and thwart their invasion plans.
