Barry, a man down on his luck, lands a job in the shipping department at Technoworks, a cutting-edge company catering to Yuppies. He receives an invitation from his boss, Quinn, to attend a weekend barbecue at Quinn’s home, along with some of Quinn’s friends. The gathering takes a bizarre turn as Barry ends up performing a twisted version of charades on a picnic table, and a neighbor begins shouting racial slurs over the fence. The arrival of Jude, the widow of Technoworks’ former owner, adds more intrigue. As the story unfolds, secrets of past misdeeds come to light, revealing the true purpose of the party. Before the day concludes, Barry gets into a brawl with a tow-truck driver, has an affair with his boss’s wife, and causes chaos with the neighbor. True to the film’s title, by the end, it becomes clear who the real Felon is—or perhaps, it turns out that everyone at the party is a Felon in their own way.
