“Burzynski, the Movie” chronicles the journey of Dr. Stanislaw Burzynski, a medical doctor and biochemist with a Ph.D., who engaged in one of the most complex and fascinating legal battles against the FDA in U.S. history. Dr. Burzynski’s triumphs over the American government revolved around his discovery of gene-targeted cancer treatments known as Antineoplastons in the 1970s. These treatments successfully completed Phase II clinical trials under FDA supervision in 2009 and were poised to enter the final phase of FDA testing in 2011, contingent upon securing the necessary $300 million funding for the trials.
