Boys vs. Girls
Directed and written by Windsor native Mike Stasko, “Boys vs. Girls” draws inspiration from his own 1990s summer camp experiences. During a time when many camps were closing, Camp Kitchikewana opted to become co-ed to stay afloat, leading to a genuine gender rivalry. Set in the summer of 1990, the story follows Camp Kindlewood as it transitions to a co-ed environment for the first time in its seventy-year history. Camp Director Roger, played by Colin Mochrie, strives to prevent the camp from being shut down. However, tensions rise after an awkward incident between head counselors Dale (Eric Osborne) and Amber (Rachel Dagenais). This sparks a gender-based showdown, with each side vying to reclaim their camp and assert their dominance. The ensuing prank war, encouraged by camp caretaker Coffee (Kevin McDonald), sees boys and girls battling to protect their beloved summer retreat.
