Becoming Burlesque

Fatima, a contemporary Muslim girl from Toronto, grows up in a family with diverse cultural influences and conflicting ideas about her place in the world. She becomes captivated by the liberating atmosphere of a glamorous Burlesque cabaret, where she discovers her bold and self-assured Burlesque persona, “Babylon.” As she embraces this new identity, she faces the challenge of integrating it with her former self.
