In contemporary Burbank, California, and the nearby San Fernando Valley, BENNY BIG-TIME (The BBT) discovers that his brother has been detained on charges related to a series of recent bank heists. Determined to help his sibling avoid the consequences, The BBT decides to use his entire life savings to devise a plan. With the help of five close friends—ERIK, DEREK, JAMIE, K.C., and KYLE—he aims to create a diversion that will exonerate his brother. They have just four days to execute a scheme that involves robbing a small bank themselves, thereby casting doubt on the accusations against his brother. The BBT intends to meticulously replicate his brother’s alleged crime, armed only with folders containing photographs of the bank tellers’ acquaintances, families, pets, and homes.
