The narrative centers on Ari, a 16-year-old boy from Iceland, who resides with his mother in Reykjavík. When she must relocate abroad for a new job, Ari is sent back to the small town where he grew up. Upon his return, he reconnects with an old friend who has blossomed into a young woman entangled in a complicated romance, while his father struggles as a casualty of the financial downturn.
